FORESTRY SERVICES

We offer site preparation and reforestation of forest stands after intentional harvesting o forced stand removal. We offer you advice on the use of preparatory tree species as well as on tree species and age range convenient for achieving resilient forest stands.

Forest protection

We provide forest protection services consisting in the gentle remediation of bark beetle-infested wood and the protection of young forest stands against storms and game damage. We prefer the mechanical remediation methods over the use of chemicals, which are more effective in logging sites protected against contamination of birds, insects and water.

SAWMILL

Forestry constructions

We provide constructions of wooden huts and shelters for forestry purposes. We realize the constructions of hunting facilities for the purpose of breeding and hunting in order to achieve a balance between the game population and forest.

All-wood roofs

We are engaged in the production of all-wood roofs. The roofing consists of vertically folded boards which are adapted for a smooth outflow of water and impregnated to ensure great durability. These wooden roofs are an economically attractive alternative for environmentally friendly constructions.

Lumber sale

In our sawmill site, we provide lumber both for our own forestry services and for our customers. We offer both, processing your own wood and lumber sale. We use exclusively local timber resources- from Králický Sněžník and Rychlebské Mountains forest stands.

OTHER SERVICES

Bee-keeping

Bee products make up only 10% of the total benefits provided by the bees. The main benefit is the pollination of plants that represent an essential part of our food chain and the preservation of biodiversity. Without bees, wind-pollinated plants would predominate, displacing most of other species. This would result in the extinction of animal species associated with such plants. Bees are therefore greatly important for maintaining the biodiversity.

Wood, a good choice

By choosing wood as a building material, we can together provide a significant benefit to the environment through CO2 sequestration.₂With every cubic meter of wood used in a building or on a construction site, we can store from 700 to 1,000 kilograms of CO2 for a long period of time.₂.

ABOUT US

ERIMETSA is a family-owned forestry company with roots in Finland, Spain and the Czech Republic. Our headquarters are placed in a tiny but beautiful Czech village of Nová Seninka situated in a distinctive area of North Moravian borderland. At the beginning, we focused solely on forestry services, however soon afterwards we extended our activities to wood processing and wooden infrastructure within the forestry sector.

Through our activities we want to contribute to a healthy and varied landscape, in which the forest is not seen only as a source of profit. We believe that with the right approach we can grow more biodiverse forests more resilient towards the upcoming climate change consequences – forests that can bind CO2, protect the soil, clean the air and provide the springs with water. Such forests will be a refuge not only for the flora and fauna, but also for the human kind, to whom they can guarantee a living and a source of renewable raw materials such as wood.
